Avoiding uncomfortable or difficult decisions allows inertia to grow in the wrong direction. If you’re waiting for the problem to outweigh the pain of change, it never will. You’ll just find yourself getting used to bigger and bigger problems with a decreasing ability to fix them.
That’s not to say some problems shouldn’t just be endured if they are temporary, minor, or if they serve some greater good. Sometimes the opportunity cost of fixing a problem is greater than the benefit of its solution.
Being conscious of your decisions, especially the decisions manifested through inaction will help you achieve the life you intend to create, not just the life you fall into.
